As a food reviewer for Foodjoyy, I was eager to explore the unique offerings that Tiki On 18th has prepared for its patrons.
The menu is a treasure trove of flavor, featuring an impressive selection of lumpia, a must-try dish in Filipino cuisine. The Lumpiang Shanghai, filled with pork and mushrooms and served with sweet mangochili vinegar, is a beautiful harmony of flavors for just $11. Not to be overlooked, the Shrimp Bazookas boast a spicy shrimp and vegetable filling, paired with a spicy soy vinaigrette for $13—perfect for those seeking a bit of heat. Vegetarian options abound with the Lumpiang Gulay, which consists of vegetable spring rolls paired with a spicy vinegar dip.
Tiki On 18th isn't just about lumpia; their brunch menu shines brightly as well. “ Came for brunch and it was all delicious! Good vibes, good service, good portions. We ended up sharing the fried chicken sandwich (mm) and the French toast (mmm), with a side of spam. Complemented each other so well. Just plan for the rest of your day, because I was completely stuffed after. 10/10 will come again and try dinner next time! ”
“ I had a great experience at Tiki! The drinks were not only delicious but came in fun, unique cups that really enhanced the overall vibe. For the food, everything was delicious —highly recommend trying the pansit, beef skewers, and wings. While the service was a bit on the slower side, the staff were incredibly friendly and accommodating, which definitely made up for the wait. Overall, it’s absolutely worth it for the great food and welcoming atmosphere. Will definitely be coming back! ”
“ This bar is a hidden gem. Recently renovated from the sports pub appealing to more of a speakez feel. The drinks are themed with each adding its own style and flavor to the bar. I would 100% recommend coming to this spot before going anywhere else. Pregame, eat a meal, take advantage of the all day happy hour on Sunday. What’s up come through. Make sure you get Nkechi as your bartender and enjoy your night! ”
“ My bestie and I took my brother out for his 23rd Birthday and decided to eat at Tiki On 18th. Since my Step mom and best friend are in fact Filipino my brother (who is half Filipino) and I are definitely not strangers to the cuisine or being raised by the culture. The ambiance is low lit, colorful and pretty on the first level. The staff was very friendly and did well keeping up with the business as bartenders and servers. The food & drinks were excellent and tasty to the point where we had full three course meals. I’ve been there once before on their patio 2 summers ago but this experience hit different because of the occasion. We will be returning....Cheers!!!! ”
“ We opted for a table outside and thoroughly enjoyed the weather and atmosphere of street-side dining in Adams Morgan. We started our night out here with drinks and appetizers. ”
“ COOLEST DRINKS EVER!!!! Checked out Tiki on 18th with my cousin and we had a blast! They have a pretty cool cocktail hour and ever cooler glasses that your drinks come in. Somewhere between the bar and my table I met JoJo, the owner, and he said we had to check out the newly renovated basement. And that’s exactly what we did. It was a pretty cool tropical vibe with a huge bar wall filled with liquor. I took about 100 photos. The space is beautiful, the food was delicious and the drinks were great, I especially loved that they had mocktails so I could enjoy as well. Our wait staff was super sweet, everyone had a great night. Can’t wait to go back! Cocktail Hour: Mon - Fri 5pm - 7pm Sat 3pm - 6pm All Day Sunday Here’s what we ate: Spam Sliders Pork lumpia Drinks: Nitro Rum Barrel Hurricane Pina Colada Bubbly Bath One Love DC There’s a parking garage literally behind the restaurant you don’t have to walk far at all. ”
“ I hosted my birthday party here on Friday of their grand re-opening - they renovated the old sports bar downstairs into a 2nd level of the Tiki bar. It's a cool atmosphere downstairs - both cozy but fun in the way you would want from a Tiki bar. I was able to reserve the space for our large group ahead of time via e-mail. They were great about accommodating the party - thanks to everyone there for being great hosts! The small plates were all super tasty and there was a huge selection of cocktails in fun containers. I've been getting messages after the fact about how fun a spot this was. Thanks to our server Jenny for taking care of us! ”
“ We ordered the spicy pork sisig and Jo-jo's pansit, and we loved both. The pork sisig is done just the way it's supposed to be done. The pansit with the crispy pork belly on top was a nice touch. ”
